Mackay Regional Council - Management Strategy Workshop

FutureSense (2018) provided a keynote presentation at the Mackay Regional Council Management Strategy Workshop. Participants included the Executive and Management team and the annual workshop aimed to identify strategies for corporate continuous improvements.

FutureSense advised and influenced the design of the Strategy Workshop agenda and activities to ensure priming of alternative futures to inform corporate strategy.

FutureSense delivered:

• The morning keynote presentation on Megatrends, Futures and the Principles of the current Era;
• Context setting and scenario testing for Mackay Futures; and
• MRC Futures visioning using creative visualisation and back-casting.

Workshop outcomes included:

• Understand the forces of change that are influencing MRC’s future;
• Explore scenarios for Mackay with CLA - a multi-dimensional layered approach;
• Practice visioning and backcast the strategic pathways towards the vision.
