Phillip Daffara
Advisor; Placemaker; Author; Speaker |

Phillip’s Doctoral research explored city visions and their underlying cultural paradigms. By applying foresight methods and socio-cultural change studies to the challenge of city planning and design, he developed a holistic policy framework for city development and a multi-dimensional city change model. Both policy tools give communities greater capacities to create humane and sustainable urban futures that they imagine.
He has authored several journal articles and book chapters discussing sustainable urban futures, knowledge cities, macrohistory and city dynamics; as well as present conference papers nationally and internationally about best practice urban design, community visioning and the role of cities as catalysts for the development of planetary civilisation.
